Managing Innovation in Education

Strategically Managing Innovation in Education
The process of introducing innovation into educational settings requires meticulous preparation and implementation. As a doctoral candidate in the field of education, I have a novel method to improve student involvement by incorporating interactive digital learning platforms into the classroom. Effectively overseeing this innovation needs a strategic framework that includes planning, executing, and assessing.
 Step one
Planning: Initially, doing comprehensive research is crucial to ascertain the requirements and inclinations of both students and teachers. Therefore, engaging in surveys, focus groups, and literature analysis will provide significant insights for the development of the programme (Creswell, 2014). It is also important that the Engagement of stakeholders, such as teachers, system administrators, and the school’s administrators take place. This involvement of stakeholders will guarantee that a wide range of viewpoints are considered at the initial planning stage (Fullan, 2001a).

Step two
Execution: Successful execution relies on transparent communication and effective support systems. Equipping instructors with extensive training sessions enables them to proficiently use digital technologies in their instructional methodologies (Guskey & Yoon, 2009). Hence, various professional development sessions will be conducted to equip educators with the necessary skills that are required for the successful implementation of the project.  In addition, implementing technical support systems guarantees that any problems are immediately resolved, hence reducing interruptions to the learning process (Hew & Brush, 2006b)

Step three
Evaluation: Ongoing assessment is crucial for determining the effectiveness of the invention and pinpointing areas that need improvement. By using both quantitative and qualitative measurements, such as analysing student performance data and conducting feedback questionnaires, a thorough evaluation of the success of the innovation may be achieved (Creswell, 2014). The immediate supervisor of the innovation will be asked to submit regular progress reports to facilitate regular review sessions which will promote continuous communication and adjustment where necessary (Fullan, 2014).
In conclusion, effectively managing innovation in education requires a strategic approach that includes careful planning, efficient execution, and ongoing assessment. By embracing this approach, educators may effectively manage the intricacies of incorporating digital learning platforms into the classroom, thereby improving student engagement and learning results.
